Brian Kambole at the centre of  the ZESCO theft rot

Senior Manager Procurement, Brian Kambole is at the heart of the looting and thefts going on uncontrollably at the embattled ZESCO limited. Brian Kambole is the brain and master mind of all procurements at ZESCO Ltd. The power utility is battling financially while overloading its labour costs to levels unacceptable by any standards in the world. The thieving and looting further drowns the utility financially.

Brian Kambole and his boss Victor Mundende have created a bilateral understanding on how the loots must be conducted, where they must take place, when they must be done,  who must be involved and what must be looted at all costs.

Kambole has gained loads of unexplainable properties all over the cities in a very short time. His income cannot justify this accelerated accumulation of wealth so hastily. The only pointer is abuse of office by public servant.

His ever thieving and crooked boss Mundende on the other hand is building a hotel in Shimabala in addition to other loots like numberless luxury cars parked at his house and flashy living all over and carelessly drinking daily.

Riding on the political campaigns prior to the elections, Mundende and Kambole engineered theft of public property and funds including stealing of motor vehicles meant for ZESCO limited. The most embarrassing was where a simple driver by the name of Jimmy was caught with two brand new Toyota land cruiser pick ups registered in his name and safely and openly parked at his home.

How does Jimmy or Kambole or Mundende explain this sorrowful and revealing action. Ideally the tripartite must have been arrested and prosecuted. But under PF this is of no consequence. The levels of greed and determination to amass more and more at the expense of the nation surpasses their consciences. The moral decay in their souls is incredibly stiff.

Whether the PF takes action now or not, one way or the other the looted wealth must be recovered and taken back to the Zambian people. This cannot just go on unabated leaving the entire Zambian nation without recourse.

It s unfortunate that the people who call others tribalist, are hypocrites. They themselves are real tribalist.

Unlike Chiefs from other regions, the Eastern Chiefs have responded to this nonsense in very clear terms. One would have hoped other Chiefs would have also reprimanded their subjects when they spewed nonsense and all the mess we are in now would have been avoided. But do not add your stuff ba Watchdog – did Senior Chief Nzamane refer to the President in his reprimand of Edwin Sakala?
