Dr. Chitalu Chilufya is just a Thief

chilufya3.jpgDr. Chitalu Chilufya is one of the PF Ministers in Edgar Lungu PF led Government who have acquired so much wealth in a very short time of his career. His total income put together and all the illicit fake trips put together and fronting businesses he purports to run cannot equal the wealth Chitalu Chilufya has acquired. He is therefore, basically a thief.

Under the Lungu PF led government, thieves and thugs are often rewarded while hard-working citizens are retired or fired or transferred to remote areas or demoted in the so-called National Interest. Clearly this is not in national Interest any more, but plainly put “Looting Faction Facilitation Interest (LFFI)”.

The staggering revelations simmering and dogging the embattled thieving Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya MP, only site how much appetite for stealing the Medical Doctor turned Thieving Master Chitalu Chilufya has.

Chilufya has been associated with thieving through procurement. One outstanding among most is the procurement of ambulances. The thieving one was at the centre of this national theft scandal. Chilufya went ahead shamelessly  to procure ambulances for $268,000 each in his ministry against a sobering price of about $60,000 a unit. This ironical procurement was undressed when the Swedish government procured similar ambulances at the sobering cost of $58,000 each, in the succeeding months the same year. Without shame Chilufya attempted to justify the scandal he presided over in parliament while Edgar Lungu watched on.

Chitalu Chilufya is not a dull person, he knows exactly what he was doing. Chilufya blinds people in the public domain as a saint when he is actually a wolf when it comes to  muzzling power off people and stealing huge sums of resources. Chilufya knew exactly what he was doing. He was behind this ambulance transactions and was choreographer of the entire thieving scheme.

Then Chilufya did not stop there, he further went ahead to just to have the Chief Executive Officer for Medical Stores fired instead of being prosecuted. The Former Executive for Medical stores allowed for the theft of loads of medicines and accessories worth billions of Kwacha. This alarmed the Global Fund to fight AIDS which now is demanding the Zambian government  to pay back the misapplied drugs and accessories.

Chilufya should have surely let DEC or even the police follow through this case. But to just fire the chief thief and let him be, is an indicator that Chilufya may have been involved in the scandal. Chilufya who pauses as a no nonsense man knows about the thieving that took place at Medical Stores.

In the most recent Cholera times, and in the most unprecedented manner, Chilufya also ordered single highhandedly fake vaccines to combat cholera. The vaccines were single sourced, in non excusable exorbitant manner from India. As though this was not enough the actual trial vaccines do not work. The World Health Organisation declared them ineffective and worthless. Behind this scheme is one of yet another Minister under under the Lungu government who is a master at thieving, being heartless for the poor as he perfects his looting art.  Chilufya1It is now becoming clear that part of the stolen funds by Chitalu Chilufya are being stacked away in an attempt to seek the PF Presidency in 2021 as the Lungu illegibility sours on. Dr. Chitalu Chilufya is just a mere thief.

It s unfortunate that the people who call others tribalist, are hypocrites. They themselves are real tribalist.

Unlike Chiefs from other regions, the Eastern Chiefs have responded to this nonsense in very clear terms. One would have hoped other Chiefs would have also reprimanded their subjects when they spewed nonsense and all the mess we are in now would have been avoided. But do not add your stuff ba Watchdog – did Senior Chief Nzamane refer to the President in his reprimand of Edwin Sakala?
