Where is our Money?

IMG_4325There has been unprecedented silence as regards the monies from two possible sources under the Lungu led government. The Toll Gates collections and the court order on past ministers prior to 2016 elections to pay back the monies they illegally harvested  from the treasury.

Information reaching our data centres indicate that most, if not all past Ministers have not paid back the monies they were ordered to pay back by the legitimate Constitutional Court of Zambian. What is going on? Who is behind this contempt of our constitutional court? There must be some movement from the executive wing of government to ensure that the public resources illegally gotten from the treasury is all paid back. This has not happened. There is a piece of information yet to be verified that one or two decent former cabinet ministers may have paid back our money.

The other lot of funds not explained where and how they are being applied are the monies collected form the numerous Toll gates being planted at every possible stretch of road by the National Roads Fund Agency (NFRA). There is so much secrecy as regards the Toll Gates Collections. No information has been disclosed to the public as to how much has been collected per cycle of the fiscal year and even a hint of where the funds have been applied. This is a sign of bad governance and total lack of transparency. There has been no deliberate efforts to explain the application of these funds. This violation of trust by those in power just cements the obvious scandalous misapplication of the funds with impunity by the PF led government.

If only the two lots of funds were explained, this may send some comforting news to the citizens of Zambia whose livelihoods have been worsened by the current PF led government. The chills of financial pain among the poor, now sit very closely with the KK era. This is neither acceptable nor worthy of a nation endowed with so much natural resources under the sun.

It s unfortunate that the people who call others tribalist, are hypocrites. They themselves are real tribalist.

Unlike Chiefs from other regions, the Eastern Chiefs have responded to this nonsense in very clear terms. One would have hoped other Chiefs would have also reprimanded their subjects when they spewed nonsense and all the mess we are in now would have been avoided. But do not add your stuff ba Watchdog – did Senior Chief Nzamane refer to the President in his reprimand of Edwin Sakala?
