UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema has been blocked from donating mealie meal to residents of soloboni compound in Kafue which has been badly hit by the current hunger situation.
Mr Hichilema who was on his way to soloboni compound was however not allowed to proceed with his program after he was blocked by heavily armed state police who have taken over the entire Kafue town.
Confirming the development to phoenix news, party deputy press secretary to the UPND president, Brian Mwiinga said the UPND leader is in Kafue to get facts with regards the hunger situation and also donate bags of mealie meal to the residents of the area.
Mr Mwiinga said despite police blocking Mr Hichilema, he was still trying to find his way to make the donation.
